Treaty Essential Learnings: We Are all Treaty PeopleThe document outlines six treaty essential learnings (TELs): treaties, historical context of the treaties, treaty relationship, First Nations and their worldview, symbolism in treaty making, and vision for the new millennium: contemporary treaty issues. The TELs were developed as a guide to understanding Teaching Treaties in the Classroom and to assist in increasing knowledge of the treaties in Saskatchewan.
